Your legislator's Washington offices can be reached by calling the Capitol
switchboard toll-free at 800-962-3524 and asking for his/her office, or call
the district office listed in your local phone book.

2.  LETTERS TO THE HOUSE AND SENATE LEADERSHIP.  These legislators have the
most direct control over whether the Udall bill will be approved or stalled
this year.  Contact them and urge for immediate consideration of the Udall
bills - - legislation supported by majorities in both Houses of Congress!

SENATOR TRENT LOTT (R-MS), SENATE MAJORITY LEADER:  Senator Lott controls
what bills will be given time for votes by the full Senate.  Urge him to give
the Udall bill, attached in the Senate to the NIH Reauthorization bill,
"floor time" as soon as possible.

SENATOR NANCY KASSEBAUM (R-KS), CHAIR, SENATE LABOR AND HUMAN RESOURCES
COMMITTEE:  Senator Kassebaum is responsible for bringing the NIH
Reauthorization bill, with the Udall bill attached, to the Senate floor for a
vote.  Thank her for including the Udall bill, and urge her to bring it to
the full Senate as soon as possible.
