Saw Dr. John Nutt last Monday at Oregon Medical School's Movement Disorder Clinic. They gave Gordon a good physical, went through the usual history, etc, etc. The rcommendations wee: take another Amantadine after lunch and take a Tums, yes Tums, with each dose of Sinemet as Tums enhances Simenet and if anyone ever heard that before in this group, you failed to mention it!!!! So back we came to Mt. Shasta and it works..His afternoons are definitely better, walks better. Remember Gordon had had spectacul results from thalomotomies and it was our regular doctor who suggested a throrough evaluation of meds as gord has taken the same for so long. Since last surgery, May 8, he seems to need half as much Sinemet. His fatigue level is improving, also. It is all so amazing..Incidentally, a dear friend who suffers arom artherities(Sp) has been told not to take Tums with her prescriptions.
