I thank Barbara for the letter welcoming me to the List. I am happy I found
it. The letters posted to it are of great interest and help.
I joined because a dear friend of mine (63 years of age) was diagnosed with
Parkinson' s (possibly the progressive supra nuclear palsy variation)
("Parkinsonism'). I bought this computer five months ago and one my dedicated
projects is to learn everything I can about the illness and whatever I can
about treatments (if any), possible therapies, drug research, work at home
projects, legislation. I have been compiling a list of internet web sites on
Parkinson's and am
most interested in information exchange and doing something concrete and
helpful. I find this mailing list the best of them all because it is a direct
exchange from people
who are dealing with the problem every day. I hope I will be able to
contribute and help.
