Jacob, The Amer Parkinson's Disease Assoc (APDA) Young Parkinsons Information and Referral Center addresses the special needs of people diagnosed under the age of 40. This is about 10% of the total of folks diagnosed with PD. The Center has a YOPD (Young-Onset PD) Newsletter, nation-wide support groups and a Person-to-Person Program where you can receive names and phone numbers of other young people like you to either call or correspond with. There is also a Young Parkinsons Handbook which you can receive free of charge. Call the Center with your snail mail address, and a packet of information, including the handbook , will be sent to you.
