I want to introduce a friend, Jean Voss, who is 53 years old, was
diagnosed with PD in 1993, and lives in Orlando, Florida. Her major
concern is how to get help in caring for herself. She can walk OK,
although she has some vertigo, but her arms and hands are very weak. She
is alone most of the time. Her insurance will cover a nurse or hospital
care, but her problem is rather than medical care she needs help with the
cooking, cleaning, and errands which she can no longer do. Jean cannot
afford CNA/home health aid services.

Does anyone have suggestions on how either she can overcome the arm
weakness (best), or find a way to get the assistance she needs for daily
living? Is there some form of public assistance or volunteers available?

TIA,
