I have some information on the Volunteers for Medical Engineering's
Future Home on my Home Page. Future Home is an "automated" house using
ofr-the-shelf computer technology. Enovations include a no-hands voice
activated telephone system with connections in every room, adjustable
tables and shelves, etc.

VME's mission is to help disabled persons by adapting current technology
to meet their unique needs. Most of their projects involve puting
together and providing training on donated computer systems. I have just
taken advantage of their services. A project team is going to re-design
my computer work station at home to make it easier for me to use it when
my meds are off. Of course I have been a volunteer (assembling and
providing training on computer systems) and have also donated my old
computer equipment and software.

After they are finished I will provide a report on what they have done.
