Linda--I can't help re: Bay Area resources in particular, but in most places there is an Aging agency (Council on AGing) a senior citizens' center, a Family Service Agency which can give help of this kind. There may well be resources that are available on a sliding scale fee,etc. Look in the yellow pages under Social Agencies, for astarter. Good luck, and welcome to the list.
