I used to do Tai Chi, but quit when I got diagnosed because I thought I was
not be able to; that was 6-1/2 years ago; after reading that some of you
guys are starting up, I feel encouraged to go back to it. Classes weren't
convenient for me, so I did it from a book, and for about a year led about 8
or 10 of my friends/neighbors in a weekly group outside in the fresh air.
Worked very well. The book was "Tai Chi, ten minutes to health" by Chia
Siew Pang and Goh Ewe Hoc, CRCS
Publications, P. O. Box 20850, Reno, Nevada 89515. We did one new position a
week generally. As the book says, it's better to have a teacher, but if you
don't you can still benefit. I got together with a friend who took a class
once and we couldn't really (being amateurs) tell the difference. It's a
very easy-to-understand book. Best, Liz S.
