Recently, my wife (who has PD) and I went to see a Chinese doctor about possible
treatments for Parkinsons. He says in China he had treated people with
Parkinsons and he recommended a combination of acupuncture and herbs. He said
it would require three acupuncture sessions per week plus 5 packages of herbs
(special mixture for Parkinsons) per week. The acupuncture treatments are $30
(Canadian) each and the herb packages are about $8 each. This would be about
$130 (Cdn) per week. He said she would not notice any change possibly for
two-three months. Since this meant an outlay of about $1000 before we might see
any changes, we thought we would first ask whether there were any people out
there who had tried it and if anyone had found any success with it. Please let
us know any experiences anyone has had.
