You have some difficult problems -- I wish you success with them
I can offer a suggestion re swelling in the ankles and feet...
something I live with.
I have been advised to elevate my feet at least twice a day
higher than my head  and while they are up I am supposed to do
exercises -mostly wiggling and bending the ankle.
It does work to reduce the swelling for a while.
Sitting is not good for us parkies. Do you think your M-in-L
would go to a parki exercise group ?
It is a good way of getting out of the
house.
