Another Shakesperean work that includes eavesdropping (of a very different nature, though, what I would call "theatrical eavesdropping") is _Much Ado About Nothing_. There are many instances in Spanish Golden Age drama. One I recall is _Don Gil de las Calzas Verdes_ (_Don Gil of the Green Hose_) by Tirso de Molina. I believe there is an English translation.
