        Dear Mr. McGinty:

I feel it is important to recognize that the blood therapy of
various diseases, including PD you talk about could have little or no effect
or even dangerous, potentially lethal consequences. It is not posible to
evaluate how and what the oxygen does because of the brief description of
the therapy. It would be impossible for an individual who had a 30-fold
increase in oxygen carrying capacity to have been alive in the first place.
Normally, blood oxygen is at about 95-99 perecent of saturation. A 30
percent reduction would deprive brain and heart tissue to a
level where these organs would be asphyxiated to virtually instant death.
Now, a slow elevation from lethal to normal levels is possible such as in
slow ascension to high altitude, where oxygen changes slowly and reversibly.
The second major question is: where does the blood that had been
exposed to the mysterious compound come from? If this is not held to rigid
standards infection of the patients with, among other pathogens, the HIV
(AIDS) virus is likely.
Obviously more detail is needed to evaluate the drug,s
effectiveness, the state of the blood and the licensing status of the
treatment. Otherwise this could be a game of Russian Roulette.
