I think that some weight gain is normal following a Palidotomy. In my case I
had been losing weight to where I was skin and bones. I am 5'8" and I
weighed about 130. After my Pallidotomy i gained about 20 pounds. My theory
is that all the movement of my dyskinesia was burning a lot of calories.
Now that I have very little dyskinesia I feel more like eating and I am not
burning all those calories.
