This morning I awakened to see two (count 'em, 2!) segments on
Parkinson's on national TV. One was an interview of Muhammad Ali
and his wife, Lonnie, by Bryant Gumbel on NBC. (Unfortunately,
I missed the beginning of the interview.)

The second was a spot on CNN focusing on lobbying efforts for the
Udall bill and highlighting Terry Whitling and her palidotomy. That
spot also included appearances by Ali, as well as Joan Samuelson
and Dr. Mahlon DeLong. It also mentioned other well-known people
who have PD -- Billy Graham and Janet Reno. (I understand that the
same spot also aired on CNN last night.)

With all this attention focused on PD, we can have a bigger impact
than ever by having a large turnout at Sunday's Unity Walk. If you're
anywhere near New York, please join us! You can register by e-mail
([log in to unmask]), phone (212-580-6505) or fax (212-496-8639).
We need your name, address and phone, and you'll need to tell us
how we can get the details of the Walk to you.

Don't let this opportunity pass you by!
