There is another factor: many neurologists (in UK, anyway) seem to be
linked to one or other of the pharmaceutical companies - the implication
appears to be that if they continue to prescribe that cos. drug(s) then
funds will be forthcoming for development projects. The patient thinks
that the specialist is prescribing "what he believes to be best for the
patient"!

That too could lead to a habit!
