Dear David:

Thanks for your letter. I realize not everyone feels the same way about
meds and I also realize people don't always suffer terrible immediate side
effects as has been my experience with my own mother. She is a diabetic who
has had bypass surgery, was on meds for heart, blood pressure, diabetes,
gout, thyroid, etc. The side effects weren't really too bad with her for
several years...til her kidneys failed, which the Doctors told us was no
doubt due to a couple of her medicines. She is now on dialysis 3x week and
has lots of problems with it; That's one reason I started researching so
closely, that and the fact that my daughter was dx with fibromyalgia. All
in all, that's when I started reading about meds and looking into health
food supplements (I'm not a fanatic-still eat my Twinkies, etc!).
Fortunately, through all this, my mother has been able to get off her meds
for gout & blood pressure, and lower her dosage for thyroid. My daughter is
now feeling great, as are friends with M.S., Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, &
Lupus. I don't claim to have all the answers...but am always reading trying
to find what's best for those I'm concerned about...which is all people!
That's why I'm on this forum..I have an elderly friend with Parkinson's whom
I love dearly and am trying to help in every way I can.

Thanks for the kind words.
Dianne
