THE LAWS AND THE PROPHETS
IN THE MIDDLE AGES AND THE RENAISSANCE
12-15 April 1997
University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada
Invited Guest Speakers include: S. Foot,
D.M. Ganz, S. Justice, K. Kerby-Fulton,
N. Smith, and E.G. Stanley
Topics might include:
-- historiography of laws, of prophetic works
-- influence of the Bible, attitudes to the Bible,
approaches to the Old Testament and New Testament
-- the manuscript contexts of biblical,
legal and prophetic works
-- influence of the biblical laws & prophets
on the development of legal frameworks, or
on notions of prayer and devotion
(both public and private)
-- prophetic figures in literature and history
