Good day,

I am a bit concerned with some of the messages I'm seeing on the PD
and Care lists. I wonder if it's the time of year, the change of seasons,
depression because of the new beginnings of others (school etc.), stress,
tiredness, disappointment, anger, frustration, or any number of other events
or feelings that seem to be causing folks to be a bit less accepting of
other's views. I wonder if the electronic Lord of the Flies is actually
coming to pass when I see some of the messages. It seems to me that we are
all dealing, in one way or another with a designer disease that affects each
and every one of us in our own unique way. We all have different
backgrounds, perceptions, experiences, and filters through which we receive
and communicate information. I wonder if we might be a bit more lenient in
our approach to those whose opinions differ from ours.

I am concerned when I seem to see the gentle spirit of acceptance
being pushed aside at times by one of disharmony. We don't all have to
agree with each other's views, but we can all agree to let each have his or
her own view without judging them or their right to their opinions. It
seems to me that it is much better for me to delete something that I may
find personally offensive than to foment the disharmony by responding to it,
thus maybe lending it more credence than deserved.

One of the special aspects of the PD and Care Lists is the caring
and acceptance. May I gently suggest that we, before replying to something,
consider first how we might feel if we received a message stating what we
are about to send.

'Course, maybe I've promulgated the disharmony. I sincerely hope
not and if I have, I apologize.

Now, if you've gotten this far, the following tickled me. Maybe
it'll tickle you.

rarefied facets of financial management as the major sphere of
     responsibility.
