While in the process of Signing Off the List I saw an interesting message comparing light from tungsten (common) light bulbs and flourescent. Although the flourescent light may LOOK bluer, I recall studying photographic film information indicating that standard flourescent light bulbs are missing some rather narrow bands of color in the red and green regions. Of course there are quite a variety of colors of flourescent light available now. I believe I have read that the Grow Light types for plants are not true full spectrum. I have seen one brand called Vita-Light (or Vita-Lite?) that claims to be full spectrum. At the grocery store today I was surprised at how luscious looking the color of produce was and looked at the type of bulbs they were using above it. I was surprised to see they were Vita-Lights because I know they are more expensive. (Thanks to all those who have offered the useful information that I have read while being on the list!)
