Why KidsHealth?
It can be hard to find trustworthy health information about
children. Where
can you go? There's a lot of information out there: books,
articles,
pamphlets, advertisements, videos and infomercials. Some of it
is quite good
and helpful. Some is questionable (to be polite about it).
Locating a source
you can believe can be a problem. That's where KidsHealth
comes in.
Our goal is to provide high-quality information to families
and kids about
children's health. Virtually all the information on this site
is created specifically
for KidsHealth. You'll find well over a thousand pages of
images and text,
with many more in various stages of development.
KidsHealth is created by doctors, psychologists, nurses,
dietitians and other
health experts at The Nemours Foundation, the duPont Hospital for
Children, The Nemours Children's Clinics and elsewhere. We
work hard to
make every article, game and feature useful, understandable,
and - above all
- accurate. KidsHealth is an important way that The Nemours
Foundation
accomplishes its mission of improving healthcare for children.
