Will, Pfeiffer, Bertoni (neuro's) and (epidemiologist whose name I have forgotten) did initial study comparing sale of Sinamet and pesticides in Nebraska about five or six years ago..........this study showed a very disproportionate amount of Sinemet sold in state in counties with higher pesticide sales vs. urban counties (Lancaster, Douglas, ). That is the reason further study was indicated with need for registry. It is known that many patients do purchase drugs out of state.....probably more common in rural than urban area which could therefore skew numbers even more so than preliminary studies have shown. Initial data justified the need for more detailed study in this state. rita
