Sometimes people may have Parkinson like symptoms but do not have the disease. These people do not respond to PD medicines because they do not have the disease. A good diagnosis is very important and I think you are correctly looking for a 2nd. opinion. We have such a person in our support group in NYCity. I'm from Syracuse NY and my dad is a surgeon there.
