On Friday and Saturday, November 22 and 23, 1996, a Parkinson's Disease
Patient and Family Symposium will be held in Dallas, Texas, USA, at the
Dallas Parkway Hilton.  Sponsors will be the Presbyterian Hospital (Dallas)
Parkinson's Program, the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, and the American
Parkinson's Disease Association's Northeast Texas Chapter, with educational
endorsements from Athena, Sandoz, Elan, and Dupont.

This symposium is for patients and caregivers interested in the leading edge
information on Parkinson's research, treatment, and coping techniques.  It
starts with Friday night dinner speaker Roger Duvoisin, M.D., speaking about
"Latest Research Advances."

The Saturday morning program includes Senator Tom Haywood, "Challenges with
Parkinson's Disease"; R. Malcolm Stewart, M.D., "Medical Treatments in
Parkinson's Disease"; Susan Imke, R.N., M.S., "Parkinson's Disease -
Practically Speaking"; and Richard Weiner, M.D., "Surgical Options - Deep
Brain Stimulation."

Saturday after lunch the program includes Ruth Altshuler, B.A., "Caregivers
Perspective"; John Harney, M.D., "Sexuality and Parkinson's Disease";
Stephanie Molkentin, LMSW, "Depression in Chronic Illness"; Arvin Peddada,
M.D., "Exercise and Parkinson's Disease"; and Cynthia M. Fox, M.A., CCP-SLP,
"Voice Disorders in Parkinson's Disease."
