Kristin- my father was diagnosed with PD about 4 years ago, and has been given Sinemt, Permax, Artane, Eldepryl, Inderal and Amantadine Hydrochloride-and after all of these put him back on Sinemt. It has been over a month on Sinemet, and no change. I can understand your frustrations, because I am frustrated also. Let me know if they find a drug or combination of drugs that helps your dad, and I will inform you of anything we come up with. How active of a role is you dad's doctor taking in his PD? How often does he go to the doctor? My dad only goes about once every 3 months. My dad sees a neurologist-but he does not specialize in PD. It may be a good idea for both of our fathers to see some specialist-if he isn't already. I am searching for a specialist in central NY for my dad. Well- good luck-and hope to hear from you.
