I was on coumadin for approximately three weeks after bilateral total knee replacements. Clotting was monitored everyday and the level was adjusted twice, once up and once down. It doesn't sound right to keep increasing this drug, since the potential side effects are so serious. Al Gynn ([log in to unmask]) age 54, diagnosed 3 yrs
