Re: dementia and PD-- the estimates I've seen say that "about 1/3" of PWP develop dementia. I'm not sure how inclusive this is--whether it includes "bradyphrenia" (mental slowing), as well as memory loss, etc. Also. of course, there's the problem of hallucinations from meds.
