I wonder if anyone has had an experience similar to one I had recently. I've been participating in the pramipexole study at WashU and went for my quarterly checkup. For the week following, I was functioning much better, and then discovered I had been accidentally taking a slightly larger dosage than usual during that time. I had always felt I was undermedicated, and this seemed to verify that. Unfortunately, I had to revert to the lower dosage in order to satisfy the research protocol. As a result, I've been having a lot of problems. When I couldn't do the things I wanted to with my granddaughter this weekend, I became really impatient. I wrote to the drug company, hoping a humanitarian accommodation could be made for my situation. Although the drug is probably going to be marketed at the beginning of the year, I would have a much more enjoyable holiday if I could start a little sooner. I've been reading about carbidopa toxicity and am concerned that I'm taking too much sinemet. Taking more of the pramipexole could help me cut down on that. We're only talking 1/4 mg. three times a day. Does anyone have any advice? Pat Schark pine`
