I thought Medicare DID cover Pallidotomy and Thalamotomy. I know it did as
of early 1996. Has something changed?
Also, it sounds as if a regular GP who was willing to treat PD would be
a better bet than the neurologist she's seeing now. We've also had
experience with dangerous doctors, including a neurologist who for some
strange reason is now having to practice in another city and is no longer
associated with the prestigious facility where he once worked. Could that be
a clue? We would strongly encourage you to keep looking.
