Cindy,
Although it's advised to take Sinemet 30-60 minutes prior to a meal
(this allows the Sinemet to enter the bloodstream unhindered by protein)
it can make some people nauseous. In this case, your mother may benefit
from a high-carbohydrate food taken with the Sinemet. Fruit juice plus a
couple of crackers are a possibility; some people like to have a small
dish of sherbet and a graham cracker.
