Ron, you might be able to find headphones either with better padding, to take off the pressure, or just the ones that you put in you ears, without any headband. I find the old Koss brand phones from the early 70's since I replaced the worn out rubber cushions, are very comfortable, but they are the type that blocks most outside sounds, so unless you work in a very noisy place, they would interfere with your work.
