A Parkinson's specialist mentioned both >Tolcapone and Entacapone in a lecture about new drugs, so they are probably >similar, if not identical. I posted a letter a few days ago asking if anyone knew anything about Tolcapone and received no response. Suraiya's neuro wants to put her on it. The way I understood it is Tolcapone would REPLACE her permax. This was recommeded by her neuro because she was specifically "freezing" a lot (and other symptoms). I did not know this was still an experimental drug. Perhaps Suraiya knew and she is going to be part of a study -- I do not know. Does anyone have any other info on COMT inhibitors? <fontfamily><param>New Berolina</param><bigger>Dr. & Mrs. Sohrab R. Lutchmedial & Deanna M.
