The money spent and/or the resources spent in one area do not necessarily cut
down on research in other areas. Resources expended in Mars research and
exploration for the most part would not be particularly useful for PD research.
Using a person trained for extraterrestrial search in the area he was trained
for would not significantly affect neurological study resource availability if
at all.
I rail at the funds diverted for AIDS research, not because it is being
spent but because we are not getting near as much. Mankind needs to expand
its knowledge in many areas.
