She should be off the Eldepryl for 2 weeks or more if possible. Even then it
is generally recommended that Parkinsonians should avoid Demerol [meperidine]
 and/or any dopamine supressor.  Go easy on the opiates if possible.

The time release are awfully slow  to come on, the CR's are generally less
predictable
and a large amount of the CR passes into the lower bowel and out without
doing anything.
The CR's cost more. There is no generic for the CR.
