Subject: Intro from Orange

Thanks to Barbara and all of you for being there. I was diagonsed four years
ago and
had very little contact with anyone who has Pd until I came across the
YOPPERS of Newport. Now I have been uplifted, entertained, educated and
encouraged by all of you on THE LIST. I am 54, teaching full time (half day
K and three classes in the upper grades in the afternoon. I have a hunch
this may be my last full time teaching. This fall, I found it difficult to
focus on the organizing part and some days I really feel I am fighting myself
with the fatigue. I too, have had the difficulty with the HMO and the PD
specialist. I seem to be educating the doctors at my group about the fact
that there needs a team approach to this disease. They are open and have
been giving me everything I ask for....so there is some progress. Maybe if
all of us who have HMO's could get together and write Boxer, we might get
some action.

I am impressed with the kindness, humor and hopefulness of all of you. I feel
honored to be in such company. (this must be "the silver lining" of PD) I
look forward to communicating with you in the days to come. Thanks again for
being there.
