Dear Gail,
People taking levodopa (Dopar) alone are advised to limit use of vitamin
B6 to less than 5 mg per day, as B6 interferes with the drug.

However, the levodopa/carbidopa combination (Sinemet, Sinemet CR) does
not have this prohibition; carbidopa blocks the effects of B6 on
levodopa.

I agree with your caution regarding moderation in use of vitamin/mineral
supplements.
