Barbara, I didn't mean to imply that there WERE people on this group that were trying to pose as dr.'s. I was mainly trying to just voice my frustrations in how it is hard to get Bob to believe anything I pull off the internet. The people who quote the medical journals usually will tell you which medical journal they got it from. If not at first they will tell when or if you ask. I didn't mean that they were posing as something they are not. I didn't mean this as an insult to anyone. These are Bob's concerns, not mine. It is just hard to share with him what I find on this listserv, he will listen but then say something like, "Yes but you have to take it all with a grain of salt. You don't know if that person is for real or not. there are days that he makes me want to scream!!! I read your resonse to Dorothy and she wants to know if you got sick such as she did, with the vomiting and BP drop? We are working on changing neurologists. Laurie the best way to know if someone >is pretending to be a dr. is if (s)he gives medical advice over the >internet without advising you to discuss it with your own dr. This group >is almost totally sharing first-hand experience and we identify it as >such. Those members who post abstracts from scientific journals aren't >'pretending' to be something they aren't. They are merely giving us the >reference so we can read the articles for ourselves and letting us know >that research into pd is continuing. > >About Dorothy's problem with sinemet...mine was similar but not so >dramatic. It took me over a week to get started. First one pill a day >for two days, and then two a day, etc. Perhaps Dorothy could talk to her >family dr. if the neuro isn't available (or change neurologists). > >Barb > >============================================================================ >Barbara Patterson [log in to unmask] >HSC 2J22 905-525-9140, ext. 22403 > School of Nursing >============================================================================ > >
