Thank you , Kathrynne, for your kind praise; addition of magnesium; and
correction of my carbo total. I forgot to add the value for the date nuggets. I
am one of the lucky parkies with decent lactose tolerance so I have no problem
with dairy products. Would dried nonfat buttermilk relieve the lactose problem
? Does the absence of fat help the lactose problem ? I find the nonfat much
more reproducible in digestive time.
Thank you, Margaret, for your comments re 7: 1 carbo:protein. My daily diet
includes shredded wheat for breakfast, popcorn for lunch and whatever fruits and
veggies are in season plus the potable protein mix. When I add a light dinner
around fish, pork, beef or chicken I take a "booster" of 125mg LDopa/25mg
carbidopa before eating.
I find that this mix reduces my transition pulses from on to off to on by maybe
15-20 minutes from their 30 minute duration.
Camilla, I agree with your comment on the use of ginger ale to speed up the
stomach dump. I use candied ginger for the same purpose when I am on travel.

God bless us all
