Hey watch it!! I am married to an ex national hunt amateur jockey who does not take kindly to such comments about the English style of riding! Come over to our farm in Norfolk (UK) and we have a very kind 7yr 16h belonging to my 15 year old son waiting to be ridden. The horse has grown up with PWP so really understands PD terminology. He also understands bloating, and relishes the chance to get it! ( our grass is gone for the winter). Perhaps it is your 'American' saddle that is at fault, rather than the 'English' style! regards to all eguine friends, 2 legged or four legged!
