RE: Two press releases posted in Wednesday's digest. Did I read these right? Two drug companies have discovered chemical compounds that regenerate dead dopamine-producing brain cells in animals? My God, this appears to be as significant as last week's announcement about the possibility of Parkinson's being hereditary. In fact, it sounds as if it might offer hope for more immediate application than the 10-15 years quoted by one of the doctors connected with the hereditary study. Or am I reading something into this that isn't there? Does anyone have any more information on this? Has either company started human testing yet? Where do you sign up?
