Hi Georges: S. Cal??? As in Southern California? The South tried to come
in to San Francisco through the Golden Gate to get at the gold to finance
their war but were held off at Fort Point (just under the left side of the
Golden Gate Bridge facing the Pacific) by hot shots (cannon balls that
skipped across the water and landed in the boats still hot - the soldiers
that shot them were called 'hot shots'), so local scuttlebut goes.

Or do you mean South Carolina?

A lady, a passenger in an airplane flying from Boston to
San Francisco suddenly stood up and started ripping off her clothes, yelling,
"Treat me like a woman."

A man six rows back tore off his shirt and threw it at her,
calling out, "Iron this shirt."
