I wonder if we Parkinsonians have accumulated any homilies or admonitions
that are so ingrained in us that we don't think about them anymore.  For
example, I learned long ago not to go into the water until one-half hour had
elapsed since eating.  Now, I never think about it.

Do we have anything analogous to that?  Is there an acknowledgement of the
effect protein has on us that we know not to eat meat before an important
event?  Are light-coloured trousers off-limits due to our incontinence?  Do
we never buy shoes with laces?
