I didn't understand the meaning of the wise old man's answer of "NEVER,
NEVER, NEVER, NEVER''but then remembered seeing something similar in a
book I have.  In that book the quote is "NEVER GIVE IN.  NEVER, NEVER,
NEVER, NEVER."  The quotation was made by Winston Churchill - a very wise
old man indeed!
