Art's friends were concerned for his health. Over time they saw him go
from a strong, energetic, always on the go, Internationally known master
artist in many mediums, to an excessively overweight, unenthusiastic
shell of a man. He was told by the doctors that he would lose his legs
if the phlebitis he had, progressed to his knees . He was also an
insulin dependent diabetic and was having severe problems with his
prostate. His friends cared. They didn't want to see Art exit this world
prematurely. But over time, Art progressively got worse. He wouldn't
listen to anyone concerning his health. His marriage was strained to the
