Thank you Joyce for your concerns. Suraiya's neuro is a respected neuro here
in montreal. He is director of the McGill Centre for Aging and does a lot of
research on PD. In my opinion, too much! I feel (and emphasis the 'I') he
sacrafices his patients for his research. My husband, Sohrab (her son), has
asked her to get a second neuro that she can call and ACTUALLY SPEAK TO on a
regular bases, while keeping her present neuro as a reference for the
once/twice a year visits. She is hesitant. He is what she's used to and she
knows his reputation...

When I first met Suraiya (three years ago), she was sort of "embarrased" by
her PD. She didn't talk about it, felt uncomfortable in public places...
However, since subscribing to this list (a year and a half ago) she has
begun to open up. Feel that she is not all alone. She might listen to your
post more than she will listen to us.
