The general consensus is that Permax is much safer than Artane. I was taken off Artane almost immediately (3 months) after starting it back in 93. I was then put on Permax and hav been on ever since. My Permax is combined with Parlodel and both Sinemets. After reading all the downsides of Artane I'd rather put up with the slowness. Joyce
