Wendy" WELCOME !! Would that I could join you for a walk on the beach.(Especially since I just put my boat in drydock.) You give a very clear clinical and human picture of your mother's situation, and your own as well. You have no doubt noted that several of your mother's symptoms ( bloating, for instance,) or reactions have recently been discussed on this list. Which is to say that in some ways we "Parkies" (as we are known affectionately to ourselves) are much alike. Yet, if one observes a few of us in a group, say a Support Group, no rwo members show exactly the same symptoms, react in like manner to our condition, or respond favorably to the same medications. Support groups include the members of the family or others who are taking care of the "Parkie" ...are called "care givers. In fact there is a section of this list adapted for CARE GIVERS. I am sure you will receive responses from these and other members. In the meantime hang in there and savor these precious moments with your mother in her need. [log in to unmask] (Mary Manfredi)
