Concerning your request (see above) in the Dec. 16 PD Digest: I see that Long Island Jewish Hospital figures in your situation. That's also where a member of my family spent much time -- and where we found a Movement Disorders Specialist whom we like and feel confident in, Dr. Mark Forrest Gordon of the LIJ Neurology Department. He's impressed us as being bright, well attuned to PD developments generally, attentive to detail, methodical, and caring -- and that he's willing to really devote time to a patient if it's needed. He's also, I'm told, so much in demand that he's normally heavily booked well in advance; but if you feel it's worth the effort, perhaps you may want to phone his office and talk over your situation.
