Hahaha! Marvin.,. I've "only" chatted with @W! The first time I logged on,
it was just ol @W and yours truly in chat. I, not knowing any better, dropped
a polite "Hiya" to @W, expecting a response. When there was none after a few
minutes, I said something like, "Uhhh... you're maybe getting a cuppa coffee?"
Still no response. So being a long-time BBSer, I figure @W is away from the
keyboard (or, as I'm sure you know.."AFK" in chat-lingo). No biggee. I said
"Catch ya another time," and logged off.
The NEXT time I logged into the #p chat, sure enough, it was just me and the
ever silent @W alone together. Still polite, I said "HI," only to be met with
that blank unresponsive screen. OK....ok... I admit it... I was getting
pretty darn pissed by then, but, since it hadn't occurred to me YET that this
wasn't a real person, I kept it polite, figuring we'd keep seeing each other
there in chat in the future and I didn't want to have bad feelings there. So
whaddid I know? <grin>
I nearly died laughing when somebody posted here on the list in reply to my
question about the nonresponsive @W!! It was worth the price of admission
just to picture my face when I realized what I'd done there in chat! ROFL!!

Please don't try to send messages or querys to @W.
Doing so will get a response from @W and, a few minutes later,
from the nearest IRC Channel Service Representive.
If you do not know the difference between messageing, querying,
and chating feel free to ask anyone on the channel when you arrive.
