It sounds like you are using either a 2400 bps or 9600 bps modem. You might think of upgrading to a 14.4 modem, usually about $50.00. This will improve the speed of the download. If you have Web access via a browser you can download Eudora Lite or Pegasus E-Mail programs which can handle attachments easily. These programs are available as freeware ie no charge.
