Just signed onto the Parkinson's Network. My hustband Don has PD (21 years, diagnosed at 47, he's just turning 68 in Feb,) but I'm the typist and computer nerd of the family, so I'll write for both of us. We've read some of the threaded conversations, especially on insomnia. Interesting and helpful. We have a question that we would appreciate you responding to if it applies.Do any of you who are considered early-onset folks with PD have a background of childhood hyperactivity? (Back then you were probably just considered kind of a fidgety kid.) We know of three people in our support group who have this correlation and have read about dopamine involvement with hyperactive kids. We would be very interested in anyone's thoughts/experiences. We live in Yuba City, CA (about 45 miles North of Sacramento) and started the local support group in May, 1990.Don is a retired school admininstrator (Asst. Supt of Business) and Jan is a very sporadic freelance writer (ex Biology teacher, curriculum developer). Look forward to talking with you and seeing what adventures we have on the Net.
